We’re taking lots of walks together.
The story actually starts in December. I remember the day well because I had just left Danny Bleu at the clinic not knowing he would never come home again.
Carol, one of Timber’s breeders asked us if we would like to have Zip. We talked about it and decided that yes, we wanted a litter mate. We agreed that flying wasn’t a good option and neither was driving from Oregon to Florida and back, so I contacted Shuttle Pet, a company that actually drives pets all around.
She said she would be happy to bring Zip to Oregon, except that we would have to wait until May when they lifted the chain laws over the mountain passes.
Not wanting to jinx anything, we didn’t say very much until the time got closer and closer.
Shuttle Pet was awesome, I’m so glad we waited. Zip was in great shape after being on the road for a week.
He arrived yesterday afternoon and we’ve taken many walks together, allowing all of us a chance to get to know one another. Zip has to be one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met. He is so affectionate, I’m getting pretty good at typing with one hand so that the other can be scratching his ears.
See the brotherly resemblance? I don’t think I have ever taken so many photos with my iPhone.
Let me formally introduce you to Zip, the newest member of our family.
Many thanks to Carol for giving us the opportunity to love another borzoi. He is amazing.
