The plumber’s dog

Major

Remember the story about how the wife complained and complained of  leaky faucets? And really, their was no excuses because she was married to a plumber but he could never get around to fixing them. Well, my guys have recently fallen victim to the same thing.

I think I have mentioned ad nauseum my desire to become a pet photographer. I love it and it truly makes my heart go pitter patter, but scrambling to build a business and work full time has a few consequences.

My time is spent photographing other dogs like Major. Oh, be still my beating heart.

Charlie

Or this adorable little guy, Charlie the cockatoo.

Marion County Dog Shelter

Some of my time is taken up volunteering my photography. When my daughter asked me how I could handle going to the shelter to photograph the dogs, I simply told her that our dogs bring us so much pleasure, this is the best way for me to give that joy back and hopefully help get these guys into homes.

Oregon Greyhound Adoption

My heart will always belong to the greyhounds and I volunteer with them as much as I can.

The Joy of Living Assistance Dogs

I do as much as I can with the assistance dogs. The litter is growing up quickly.

And the day I came home smelling like a cat? Not a pretty picture, I was snubbed.

Another week-end is upon us. Happy Saturday Pet Blog Hop!

  1. Your kids are wondering why mum has two eyes instead of her monocle. I think pictures make a world of difference in adoptions. A poor picture definitely does not help your chances of getting adopted. Good luck with going pro. You take beautiful pics.
