And they’re off

Timber and Crystal
At the far end of the acre Timber and Crystal are rounding the corner. I, on the other hand am holding my breath. It’s such an oxymoron because I love to watch them run and play. The paranoid weenie part of me wants them to stop. Is just laying in the grass catching the rays so unreasonable?

They round the corner and Timber pulls ahead by a whole borzoi. Of course he does, his legs are nearly twice as long as Crystal’s legs. Now they are heading for the dark side of the plum tree. I can see nothing as I hold my breath.

Could it be? As they come out on the other side Crystal is pulling ahead by nearly a whole greyhound! Woo hoo! Go Crystal go.

Not to be outdone by girl, a tiny greyhound girl, Timber once again hits the jets and pulls up along side Crystal on the outside.
Poetry in motion I tell you.
