Inaugeral Red Hat Society - 2005

In 2005 I decided that the ladies of the gardens needed to form their own Red Hat Society. The ladies over 10 wore red and the girls under 10 wore pink. All of the girls got their hats in Photoshop

Phoebe will forever be the Grande Dame.

Red hot Houndies - 2007

By 2007, the ladies became much more organized and internet savvy. They discovered Bow Wow Bonnets and each lady ordered at hat made especially for her.

They officially named their charter the Red Hot Houndies.

Fast forward to 2011. We live with party animals, what can I say. The girls ordered a few new bonnets and are ready to show them off.

WOW!!! I'm... well... speechless! All the girls look totally awesome in their hats, with Slinky once turned the boys heads. I'm impressed, truly impressed that all those feathered items looked in pristine condition. The boys have a definite weakness for feathers, and using apparel containing them is always fraught with danger. Well done! :)

Wow, what beautiful ladies! Wish I was there too... Miss Veil

Had no idea we had to dress for today's blog hop. But, I loved seeing the lovely hats on your girls. Are all 10 girls? How do they get along? We have two girls and a boy - and they get along terrifically. Stopping by on the pet blogger hop - I especially liked your "Must Resist Puppy" post - I volunteer at the Etowah Valley Humane Society and the puppies are the toughest to leave behind every night when I shut the door...to go home to my own three dogs and cat. Go to Pet-peeves.org to see the very best cat band/cat lady video ever. It's destined to become a viral hit and you'll be one of the first to see it! Happy Caterday from Chairman Meow and his minions (the pups).

That is hilarious! I love that they have their own Red Hat Society. I have to admit I liked Jillian's new hat the best. She wears it so well. I'm curious though, do they wear them to the theater too? :) Stopping by on the Blogger Hop!

OMD--this is so great! The hats are probably making all Red Hatters jealous!

I am SO glad I'm not the only person who loves Bow Wow Bonnets! I always meant to order some of the Red Hat Society hats, but I've never gotten around to it. Oh, the photo ops would be glorious! I can just see Miss Bunny in her pink hat now. I would never have put Slinky and Jillian over ten though! Those two have aged VERY well! I am totally in love with Jillian's picture, although Miss Bunny seems to wear the toppers the best. I can just picture Lilac threatening me over the photo shoot now!

Wow, these ladies look so fashionable! They definitely have some amazing style, and they'll fit right in to any society they choose! My favorite hat is Flo's... I adore the lace and the flowers! Thanks for sharing pictures of such lovely ladies and for giving me some ideas for hats for my own pup! LizAnn? All4UrPet Representative? http://all4urpet.com/?? Talley's hat is just perfect for her - I think that's my favourite. But Cinderella! Hahahah! What a gorgeous girl, wearing her pretty hat with such attitude! I love her!!! The Princess Irene would have been my obvious candidate for the Red Hat Society, and I did Photoshop one onto a picture of her once, but she absolutely HATED being dressed up, and would have been looking most Put Upon in fact. Pity, since she was a therapy dog and it would have been nice to be able to dress her up.

Just had to tell you how much I'm enjoying your blog. Found the Red Hat Society page while searching for some fancy headpiece for our grey Angie (Kimballton) to wear to our wedding in Provincetown on 3/1/12. Great job ladies! Russ, Jeff & Angie Philadelphia
